Knights of the road

A day out with the boss and a visit to the Shuttleworth collection, a visit that is worth absolutely every penny of the entrance fee. Now back to more important things, we've recently seen the vintage AA Box but now it's a glimpse into an RAC Patrolman's sidecar from the same era.
A nice touch is the marketing on the lid of the sidecar rapidly followed by an envious look at the fabled gauntlets and and crash helmet.
No doubt when he stopped his motorcycle, removed his crash helmet and gauntlets, and began to speak to a motorist broken down at the side of the road who wasn't actually a member of the RAC the motorist was treated to a selling presentation along the lines of 'join now' it will only cost a few pounds, look at the advantages. Ah, the good old days.
Incidentally the motorcycle part of the motorcycle and sidecar combination was a Norton. How I used to covet a Norton when I was a teenager.
