The other evening there really was a sunset of two halves out over the fen and that was despite the mediocre and cloudy weather we had 'enjoyed' during the day.
Below the rather menacing low cloud was a proper golden sunset and above the dark grey of the cloud was an April evening sky that started with pale sunset colours and got progressively darker the higher your eye travelled; the appearance was one of a very careful piece of airbrush work.
The settled weather is forecast to change back to rainy and wet again so we'd better enjoy these evening light shows while we can.
