Beam me up

I know it is another sunset but not a sunset as we know it, to paraphrase a past television series.
On this occasion the sun was setting but hidden behind a massive dense grey cloud and the rays were being fired to the north and south, or left and right if you prefer, of the mass and it was all very spectacular. As the evening drew on the cloud barely moved and just got larger and larger and higher and the experience was enough to get you checking the goose entrails and tea leaves,
We didn't have either of those soothsayer's accessories handy so we poured another glass of wine and watched the spectacle unfold.

  1. I love it when the Kelloggs Cornflakes sun rays go up , not down.
