Promising Brown Turkey

The fig tree in the back garden is showing all the signs of providing us with a bumper crop with well over one hundred figs showing on its spindly branches, they're gathering some size too. It is all very encouraging for a first time fig grower.
No doubt, just like the apples in the orchard, we will lose a few to 'June drop' but the crop is plentiful and if some fall from the tree it will only make the others stronger. The tree was re-planted last year in big old galvanised water butt and it seems to be enjoying its new home.
Roll on the first picking, they'll be delicious, but it's early days yet.
