Standing in the shadows

An abstract composition of shadows on a white doorframe, accidental but quite interesting and in ten minutes it was gone as the sun rose higher in the sky. Talk about a fleeting moment. The shadow patterns are created by the back door flyscreen that is, in turn, made from toilet chains, a bit of lateral thinking for you there.
The only problem is that the photograph has highlighted yet another job to add to the ever growing job list that never seems to reduce only to expand; namely repainting that panel and frame in the summer so that there is nowhere for the bad weather to ease its way into the woodwork and start the rot.
      The camera never lies.
