A sunset shortage

The weeks of continuing hot weather, clear skies and the lack of clouds in the evening have meant a lack of proper sunsets, so there's a sunset shortage to go with the water shortage.
Obviously the sun has set every evening but usually it has been a pastel coloured sky with faded colours instead of our favourite nuclear sunsets with glowing clouds and good range of reds, oranges and yellows. Still you can't have everything so pastel shades it is.

We're sure that the spectacular light show that are the usual fenland sunsets that we love will return soon enough but in the meantime here's a couple of the best examples taken from the front door in the last couple of weeks and also a photograph taken over a month ago when it was actually raining.
      Rain? What is that precisely?

    1. Brook Trout, thank you. We do get some explosive sunsets and dawns, but not lately. However tonight shows some promise. John
