Meaty, red and juicy

      This year the tomato crop in our small greenhouse is absolutely outstanding but the only snag is that they are all ripening at once, although please understand we are not complaining. The variety here are Di Barrio, an absolutely delicious variety of plum tomato.
      We eat them raw, in salads, on beef burgers, in bacon, lettuce and tomato rolls in fact every which way. The boss turns the surplus into sauces and then freezes it for use in the winter, or whenever a really flavour-filled tomato sauce is needed.
      There's absolutely nothing wrong with a glut when it provides you with food like this.
