A cheerful sight

It's really good to see these cheery little fellows flowering amongst all of the tired plants in the border, they lift your spirits on a dull day. In reality they first began to show in Christmas week but now they are out and flowering with real vigour and long may they continue. Like all flowers their flowering life is a comparatively short one but hot on their heels will be the daffodils, tulips and hyacinths and when they appear you know that the season really is starting to turn.
In the meantime these little fellows make me smile every time I see them.

  1. Lovely.
It will be some time before we see sights such as this.
It does waken the mind with hope.
