Round at the corner

We were out cruising deep into Cambridgeshire, me driving and the boss up in the turret, when we saw this rather curious little cottage. It has obviously been there for a long time and the more modern buildings around it have encroached on its space and because of this you could easily drive past it without even noticing the building is there.
It is completely round although an extension has been added behind with a linking corridor. I'm curious about how the open fire works in the middle of the building and horror of horrors it looks like the thatch is about due for replacement. The last thatcher's signature looks like a swan sticking out on the roof so we'll watch with interest to what turns up the next time that the roof is replaced.
Really the building is just an eccentric curiosity and there are plenty of those in the British Isles.

  2. There are some serious oddities around here. When I get more time I'll photograph more but looking after 101 year old mother is taking up a lot of time. Good to hear from you. Best wishes, John
