Lost and found, sadly

The boss and I went down to Leigh-on-Sea this week to meet our third grandson, a new family member is always an exciting occasion. Needless to say we had to take Lucie the Parson Jack Russell puppy with us because while we can leave Barney behind and not worry this terrier is capable of considerable mayhem and destruction if she's left on her own for too long. In other words she still has to be carefully watched.
Travelling with the Terrier means walks have to take place but there are some great places to walk that are no distance away where she can run hunt, scent and explore. On the second walk, just before leaving there's a commotion in the thorn bushes and when she emerged there was blue fabric in her mouth and it transpired that the fabric was a pair of men's underpants.
Not having any desire to wrestle them from her mouth she finally did drop them thanks to an acceptable bribe. It was a bit of an Arnold Layne moment but I can't believe they were on a washing line at night. If you live in Leigh-on-sea and have lost a pair blue Diesel underpants they're by a litter bin on Marine Drive and untouched by human hand.
Another mystery to go with the notorious one-shoe in the road phenomenon. Meanwhile a terrier gives you the 'so what' look.

  2. Don't know never touched them but the terrier seems OK. Maybe there was a body under the thorn bushes! I'd better go back and look next time we're down there in April.

  3. Lucie, so sweet.
Not trying to take away her prize was the right decision John.

  4. Not quite like Pickles the dog that found the World Cup in 1966 but she put them down at the second time of asking.
