Another Norfolk eccentric

We were slowly picking our way down a very quiet and seldom used Norfolk lane, the kind of lane that has grass growing in the middle of the road right up through the tarmac. Incidentally this strip of grass is locally called 'marfer' as is the edge of lane. Anyway, we cautiously rounded a bend and there was what turned out to be a World War 2 tank recovery vehicle. British or American, who knows, but it was a bizarre sight to come across at the edge of a quiet lane.
The adjacent property had more military and old trucks behind a dense hedge so the next time we are out that way, and the gate is open, I'm going to ask if I can take some photographs.
The Norfolk eccentric strikes again and we're sure that the recovery vehicle is going to be a work in progress.
