This butterfly kept on returning to the chain flyscreen hanging at the back kitchen door, who knows what the attraction was, maybe the attraction is because it was out of the baking sun.
The boss and I both thought that it was quite a potent image the delicate and the strong together. Every time we went out through the chain screen he or she flew away and every time we were back inside there it was back on the screen in the same position looking down.
Maybe a chain flyscreen is very interesting to a butterfly, we'll never know and if you remember a band called Iron Butterfly you'll be a child of the sixties.
Never hard of the Iron butterfly group but I just learned the lead singer of the Diamonds group (doo-wop 50's) hit "little darlin" was Tom Hanks father.
ReplyDeleteJohn, Iron Butterfly were a California band in the mid-sixties. I remember a track titled In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. They made a noise and I don't know if they ever cane to England. All the best, John
