Mini-Munch and gherkin

The title may sound like a small company of very old Dickensian solicitors but they are both cucumbers, the Mini-Munch is about six inches long and, well, a gherkin is a gherkin.
We had a surplus of the two crops in the greenhouse at the weekend so the  Boss decided to use them to make a supply of cucumber relish. Now I love the relish on burgers, with sausages, cheese and cold meat but I have no doubt that the greatest inroads will be made by the kids and the grandchildren. So it's a good job that there'll be another surplus in a few weeks and the output in the relish factory can be increased to cope with the anticipated demand.
Oh yes, I am also happy to be able to report that it is quite delicious.

  1. I'll have enough chilli's for a couple of small jars. My toms (only one hanging basket) are geting simply roasted on the vine and indeed are divine. 2020 will see increasing production on the Bureboy Villas cooperatative farm.

  2. The tomatoes are doing OK but by goodness they've got hot. I shaded the greenhouse a few years ago and was invaded by whitefly despite the marigolds. Now I have English marigolds much superior to tench marigolds and no white fly. BB, it's hard being a farmer. John

  4. That's Googles super efficient spellcheck/pre-emptive text for you. Should be French but I definitely prefer Tench so Tench it is from now on. Mind you French marigolds are crap.
