We've had a couple of spectacular mornings and some equally spectacular evenings in the last week or so but now we're enjoying heavy rain and a wild northerly wind. Autumn has arrived with a vengeance. When you look at the weather as it is now the spectacular evening and sunset seems like it happened months ago but in reality it was only last week.
This late evening display was a full-on highly coloured psychedelic painted light show but the fact is that the clouds heralded a coming change in the weather.
Meanwhile on the drains and dykes the Duckweed hangs on coating reed stems and lily pads and blowing up and down every which way with the constantly changing winds, but before very long the cooling air and rain will lay it low until next year, the quicker the better as far as I'm concerned.
