Open wide please

Some good friends gave us this carved Green Man, that is a really a nest box for small birds, as a Christmas present. I couldn't decide where to put the box but finally decided on placing it under the awning and in the eaves on the summer house.
The next day Blue Tits were checking it out but within a week a pair of Wrens were at work nest building and now there's a group of young in there that the parents are working hard to feed. We're quite pleased with the new family and we've got a sharp eye open for those thugs the Magpies just in case they come killing and stealing and the air rifle is ready to welcome them if they turn up.
The photograph was taken through one of the living room windows because the Wrens simply won't settle if you are out there, sorry about the dusty window.
