The days are hot and the nights warm and the tomatoes are continuing to crop heavily and in the case of the Belriccio they are becoming almost mutant in size, they are now so large that one fruit is way too big for even two people. The flesh is solid and rich so whilst they are great in salads a lot are going to be turned into sauces, frozen and used through the winter months.

Meanwhile at the other end of this greenhouse the plum tomatoes, this variety is called Flamingo, well they are pinkish after all, have to be picked as fast as they ripen or the truss tears itself from the stem.
Still, we mustn't complain a heavy crop is a heavy crop and they'll all be put to good use. Now the aubergines are ripening so the super healthy diet continues but I do need the water butts re-filling.

We have a water meter but it is not charged. Just as well given how many of us there are.
