A gift from the Netherlands

An angler, split cane rod maker and float maker in the Netherlands ordered a copy of my print 'The float box' for his workshop, here it is as a work-in-progress with a lot more work to carry out. After almost a week of work, stopping to allow colours to dry fully and doing some hand colouring I duly despatched the print to the Netherlands along with the print 'Shed Dreams'  so that both could be hung in the 'man cave'.

Imagine my surprise when a neat little parcel arrived from across the North Sea containing six beautiful floats. Small, medium and large of two kinds of bodied float and they've been painted in two shades of Air Defence Grey. Brilliant, and now I just need to try them next week.

There's nothing like a pleasant surprise, mind you a change in the weather would be appreciated.
