I was en route to collect some new spectacles and as I drove into town there was a slight hold-up and fortunately I saw this little gem of gardening eccentricity in front of a small terrace of alms houses. In a way it's a bit of inanimate gardening, no planting or pruning, just a quick re-arrangement, a hose down and that's the garden sorted for the next year plus maybe a few new additions and it makes buying presents for Christmas and birthdays easy too.
The lady who 'tends' the garden didn't come out to talk, probably because of a masked man with a camera, but I shouted through the doors and said 'keep up the good work'. Well a little tableau like this fairly brightens up your day and there's something for everyone, Disney fans, a duck with pronounced breasts and even a guard dog. Just brilliant, thank you.
