We've had a spell of horrible weather; wet, cold, snowy, icy, windy and then, just for a change, the same all over again. Consequently we've used a lot of logs in the wood-burner and resupply was needed, so our supplier was duly contacted for two cubic metres of hardwood logs, Beech, Birch and Ash, and predictably they duly arrived in the pouring rain.
Even now, at 16.25 on a Wednesday evening it's blowing a gale and raining, no surprises there then, but the wood-burning stove is blazing and we've got two warm, contented and very happy terriers after a wet walk in near darkness.
