It's not exactly West Norfolk but a glimpse into my past. Inevitably was rooting around in the loft and in an unopened box I found this promotional book for Middlesbrough, Teesside and the area where I was brought up.
The book was published jointly in the 1950's by the Tees-side Chamber of Commerce and the Tees-side Development Board and everything is steel, chemical, ship-building, engineering and mining centred. The book is a little bit of social history really that goes back to when the area was a booming hot-bed of heavy industry. How times have changed. I'll post some pages of the lovely artwork inside the book later. Then it's back to West Norfolk.
I wonder how many copies of the book remain?
