Being over fifteen years old Barney, our old Jack Russell, had been to the Vets for a check-up and missed his normal tea-time routine. I'd ignored him, the Boss had ignored him and despite me telling him that the Vet thought his weight perfect the rules were not being obeyed.
After bit of yapping and barking he plonked himself down in the doorway of my little print room and simply refused to move. It was the full 'look into my eyes' routine and inevitably it finally worked. A day in the life of an old Jack Russell Terrier, simply proof that it's a hard life.
I have just spent a very lovely bit of time reading your blog posts and I must say it has been a perfectly pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Although I know little about fishing and am curious to know what you mean by a "drain" (I'm an American) I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Your writing feels warm and friendly. I am intrigued by your view of the world, in love with your luscious photos, and feel a kinship regarding your love of dogs and perspectives of folks who can't leave nature alone. I found you first through your other site. I'm so glad I followed this trail to The Two Terriers. Keep posting! ~ Linda Pearce Griffin
ReplyDeleteMoon Woman, Thank you for your endorsement, much appreciated, there's plenty to read, I think it goes back to 2011! The big drains are man-made and are fed by smaller dykes and land drains. Some are huge and deep too. Stay safe, John
