I do believe we might be about to get a drop of rain judging by what is approaching from the North West. Sometimes we see the threat of a storm slide past us with somebody or somewhere close by getting a real pounding. This time we weren't so lucky. The rain smashed the last of the blossom from the trees and puddles rapidly formed on the drive. Then five or ten minutes later the storm was gone marching onwards towards Littleport, Lakenheath and Suffolk and giving them a good drenching and the treat of an odd clap of thunder and flash of lightning.
Whoever it was that said 'we don't have a climate in England, just weather' was absolutely right.
