Watching and assessing

 


      Talk about being eyeballed, scrutinised and given the once over.

      I stood quietly staring at this Peregrine Falcon at The Raptor Centre but I blinked first, nothing was going to break the merciless stare of this beautiful but lethal creature. When you see a bird like this up close and personal you can't help wondering about just what they are thinking. I think it was a rapid threat assessment followed by an edibility assessment.

      I just thought about how lucky you are to be able to get this close to such a beautiful hawk although I'm sure a lot of pigeons wouldn't agree..
