Machu Pichu, a second cropping

Another bowl of the exotically named Machu Pichu chillies. When ripe they turn a lovely chocolate brown colour and then into the dehydrator they go. Once they are dried out they are ground up in one of the Boss' whizzy kitchen machines and turned into a delicious and flavoursome chilli powder which is then hidden from the children, for obvious reasons.

This is the second cropping and there's about the same amount still on the two bushes in the greenhouse but they are coming to the end of their growing season so the winter stock cupboard will be amply stocked when these are added to the jars of Trinidad and JalapeƱos.
