Right, we're ready for the worst that winter can throw at us. Our fire wood has been delivered and carefully stacked and we won't start until the clocks turn to winter time and I must say I do like to see the wood burner flickering and hearing pinging as it heats up and settles into the evening routine.
We've got a mix of Beech, Birch and Alder so there'll be some lovely flames to watch and a warm glow for our Jack Russell to stretch out in front of and doze. The trouble is I like the effect of the stacked wood and don't want to disturb it, maybe we should get some more.
