Frost on the rushes, frost on the reeds, frost in the air

Another cold morning before the milder weather and the promised rain arrives. When the dykes have the frost on them  and in them they become other world like, perhaps it's because the white highlights the simple beauty of the dead growth. It certainly adds to the atmosphere of the morning walk with Lucie our terrier.

When the rain and wind finally arrives most of reeds and rushes will be stripped bare so until then I'll just enjoy spectacle until it is replaced with a different one.
