When the fog and ice arrived



      Just over a week ago a spell of really cold weather arrived and stayed for three or four days and the two photographs show the very beginning of the weather change and how it ended up as thick freezing fog.
      In the shot with the beautiful blue evening sky you can just see a line of mist developing at or just above ground level. In fact it was mist rising from a water filled dyke so in truth it's over six feet deep at this point. By the following morning we were enveloped in freezing fog and visibility of perhaps fifty yards and that fog became progressively more and more dense as the weekend wore on.
      Definitely time to light the fire
