We've actually had a week where every morning bar one has been as clear as a bell early on. What a pleasure. Some have been a little chilly, this was Monday and you can see the dewfall on the Barley heads giving it an almost frosty luck and in fact the house windows had condensation on the outside making it feel like late summer rather than midsummer.
Now almost a week later the colour of the Barley is turning golden so not too long before the arrival of the first combine harvesters and this fifty acres or so is all going to the local brewing industry to be used in the making of beer. Nice.
