Alright, there is almost one beginning to form as we start the early morning walk but by the time we were on the return leg summer clouds were really forming and gathering but nothing takes away that early morning clarity.
On the way back we had the feeling of being watched and Lucie kept on scenting the air then the culprits appeared way out in the Barley. A couple of Roe Deer upped periscope and their heads appeared briefly, all I can say is that is some scenting mechanism in a Terrier's nose, she was aware of their presence from a couple of hundred yards away even without a visual sighting.
By the time we returned after about an hour's leisurely walking for me and scenting and rooting for her the clouds were back in the sky, what you miss if you lie in bed!
