The land was ploughed before the winter set-in and left to break down and since then a buster has been over it, the Black Grass sprayed off and two separate harrowings have taken place and now the potatoes are planted deep underneath what looks like a horizontal 'earth sculpture'. So far this planting has seen six tractors, a teleporter and yet to come there is the harvester and lots of tractors and trailers to transport the crop to the store.
Our farmer friend has been planting his main crop potatoes so the good news is that there'll be plenty for chips, baked, roast, mashed, in fact any kind of potato. This little plot is in the process of having fifty two acres of Agri potatoes planted and hopefully, come harvest time, there'll be another free 56lb bag of potatoes to enjoy, there was last time!
